Miller’s : A
Gathering Space
Event Poster Art & Brand Update
Miller’s, a beloved and historic music venue in Carnation, WA, reached out to Voice of the Bear for help with their poster art. What began as a single project quickly grew into a full brand refresh for this unique space, which has evolved over 100 years from a farm mercantile to a toy store, community arts center, and now a vibrant hub for live music, events, and more.
Voice of the Bear embraced the challenge of telling Miller’s rich story, designing a versatile new logo that honors its history while looking to the future. We also crafted custom poster art that captures the spirit of their intimate music venue and created a cohesive marketing strategy that elevated their brand. Our work helped Miller’s connect more deeply with their community and led to them being honored as Best Rural Business in King County for the first time in their history.

Designing the new logo for Miller’s was an opportunity to honor its rich history while creating a visual identity that resonates with its role as a modern community gathering space. We began by immersing ourselves in the story of Miller’s—a venue deeply rooted in the Snoqualmie Valley, with a legacy spanning over a century. The goal was to blend the rustic charm of its past as a farm mercantile with the vibrant energy it brings to the community today.
Drawing inspiration from the textures and tones of rural life in the valley—weathered wood, rolling hills, and timeless agricultural motifs—we crafted a logo that feels both grounded and inviting. Every element was intentionally designed, from the choice of earthy, muted tones that echo the surrounding landscape to the handcrafted typography that reflects the artisanal and personal touch Miller’s brings to its events. The final design celebrates the venue’s history while providing a fresh, versatile identity that speaks to its future as a cornerstone of art, music, and community in Carnation.
